I’ve prepped a nice long flight report, so prepared to be bored :)
Anyway’s, here we go!
It’s midday UK time and 7 O’Clock here in New York, the weather is, well, naf, but that’s to be expected. It’s not snowing, which is a plus I suppose.
And we’re moving, it’s 1104z, so for a change this delivery flight is on time. Shouldn’t expect anything less from a skylines crew really!
My desk in this cockpit is mighty messy at the moment! I’ll let the co-pilot taxi us to the runway, it’s 31L if you’re wondering.
Just checked which of the two exits we’re using from this ramp, time to call ground now.
and we’re still taxiing, and we’ve not got lost. There’s a US Air CRJ200 that’s lost and is somewhere near Kilo-Kilo, or so the nice female controller is saying!
anyway, after getting to holding point Z, we complete our final checks, go over the departure briefing one last time, and let the Tower know we’re fully ready.
Climbing away now, the weather’s a bit bumpy, and the SID chart is still up, these SID’s go on for miles you know!
Still on the SID at FL370….
Finally off the SID, just climbed to FL390 and we’re about 20 miles North-East of Bangor.
FL400 and we’re in the Gander FIR, very amicable these Canadians!
It’s cloudy down there, and the weather radar looks rather white too!
Many, many decades later, and using some beautiful CAA phraseology, we’re descending in to Edinburgh, and the weather isn’t much better! Again, it’s Scotland, I shouldn’t be surprised.
Closing on 2 miles from touchdown, we’re cleared to land on 24 and the flaps are coming down to 30. The Vref today: 112.

What’s with these Europeans constantly having to get in the way?! Thankfully the Tower controller know’s that skylines have priority, so made him hold.

Stand 5, little over 7 hours in this seat and now my back hurts. Do I get paid now?
